Sharon Didato, a certified Tai Chi and Qigong instructor, has been teaching for over twenty years. Having trained extensively in both the martial and healing arts since the early 1990s, Sharon initially studied traditional Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan with Madée Duprès at a Living Arts Center in Denver, Colorado. Subsequently, she studied and trained at Eagle’s Quest Tai Chi Center as protégé of Master Teacher David Chandler completing her practicum in 2010. Sharon also completed advanced training in Medical Qigong with Master Lisa B. O’Shea at the Qigong Institute of Rochester the following year. Other formal programs include Advanced Studies in Tai Chi Chuan, Neigong/Taoist Meditation, Classical Chinese Medical Qigong and Taoist Studies with various Tai Chi Masters across the country and nearby in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Sharon is skilled in the theory and application of Tai Chi Chuan and Medical Qigong. Her teaching philosophy is to promote the health and happiness of all those seeking to improve their physical and emotional well being. Born in Connecticut and raised in Colorado, possessing an extensive background in art and education, Sharon brings her lifelong love of teaching and the observation of nature full circle in both her discipline and personal practice.
Established in 2010 and based in Ivoryton, Connecticut, Spirit Rising Tai Chi & Qigong offers a variety of classes. As the founder and director, Sharon Didato provides a wide range of services from corporate seminars to private lessons and individualized care. Primarily designed to bring us into harmony with nature, the practices Sharon carefully selects are intended to restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit while helping her students to become self-reliant and vital individuals with the ability to enjoy life to its fullest.
